About this Business of Software Masterclass
Your execs say your dev teams are too slow, that you’re holding the entire company back. They want you to speed up, but everyone’s already so busy, and you can’t hire more devs. Your product team agree, but they’re not engaged. And you’re stuck in the middle.
Most people think bottlenecks are a bad thing. They are when they’re not managed. They slow you down and cause rework and chaos. But when they’re managed, they’re like a secret turbo-charge button hidden deep inside your Dev teams, that normally no one can see it because they’re all so busy.
This Business of Software Masterclass led by Clarke Ching will teach you how to speed up your dev teams without hiring more devs. You will come with some understanding of the theory of constraints and the challenges you currently face in your organisation and leave with a clear understanding of what that means for you in practical terms in your own situation.
What You Need
To participate fully in this online masterclass, you will need:
- A Zoom account (paid or free, either is fine). You can sign up for a free account here.
- A Webcam and Microphone (the one built into your laptop/phone will be fine, but if you have something snazzier that’s even better!)
- To join the BoS Slack Channel.
The Masterclass will take place on Zoom. When you click the Zoom links to join the event, you will appear on screen in a Zoom meeting, so make sure you’re ready to be seen!
We’ll be using Slack to communicate before and during the event. Hop in to the #masterclass_theory-of-constraints-europe-with-clarke-ching channel now to introduce yourself.

Enrol in the course here – but use the coupon code ‘BOS2020’ – you don’t have to pay twice!
Watch the videos – about 2 hours, at 1x speed. The video lessons will fill you up with all the foundational knowledge you need to tackle the live sessions. You can’t learn this stuff from any books, so even if you’ve read some of mine, or Goldratt’s, or other ToC books, please complete the videos.
