Bethany Pagels-Minor

Agilist

Bethany loves product development and improving the processes of developing successful products having worked with small (<50) and large technology (>10,000+) companies to drive product adoption, improve the product experience, design and evolve product vision.

A native of Mississippi who relocated to the Windy City in 2006, Bethany loves watching sports and has been converted to being a true Chicago sports fan, something they’ll miss as they move to San Fran this summer for a new role – watch this space. An enthusiast for anything technology related, as well as randomly obscure trivia facts, Bethany works in the technology industry and spends much too much time scouring the latest financial, footwear and technology news for new tech toys and shoes for their collection.

The Many Flavors of Agile: What’s the Right One for Your Team?

One huge frustration for development teams is the processes they’re made to follow, often unnecessarily. Wars can ensue when teams are forced to adopt an approach they don’t believe in. Bethany will show why different agile approaches including Spotify Squad Model, Lean, Scrum, Kanban and Waterfall (you read that right, they’ll explain), can all be useful tools. They’ll share a framework for choosing the right process for their particular team that takes into account your people, company size, risk assessment and more.
